"Revellion" is a made-up word, a mash-up.
It's part "revel"--to enjoy, to celebrate, to take great pleasure in. And it's part "rebellion"--an act of resistance, an uprising. 

A revellion, then, is a joyful resistance, an uprising of love, appreciation, and gratitude. 

This site's name, Sagebrush Revellion, is an intentional play on the "Sagebrush Rebellion," which refers to a long-simmering tension between rural Westerners and the Federal government about land-management policy in the rangelands of the American West.
